How Lend A Trailer collects, uses and protects your personal information.

LEND A TRAILER, LLC PRIVACY POLICY This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Lend a Trailer, LLC, a Michigan limited liability company (“Lend a Trailer,” “LAT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you access or use the Lend a Trailer website, platform, or services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

  1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT We may collect the following categories of information: 1.1 Information You Provide Directly. This includes: (a) account registration information (name, email address, phone number, password); (b) trailer listing information (descriptions, photos, videos, availability, pricing); (c) communications sent through the Platform; (d) payment information for subscription fees (processed by third‑party payment processors); (e) identification information associated with trailer ownership; (f) any other information you voluntarily provide. 1.2 Automatically Collected Information. We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, towing records, insurance policy numbers, or financial account numbers beyond what is necessary to process subscription payments.

To: (a) process subscription payments; (b) send administrative notices, updates, and renewal reminders; (c) improve, maintain, and secure the Platform. 2.3 Safety, Security, and Compliance. To: (a) detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or misuse; (b) enforce our Terms of Service; (c) comply with legal obligations. 2.4 Marketing and Advertising. To: (a) promote listings on the Platform or on LAT‑controlled social media channels; (b) send promotional communications (you may opt out at any time). We do not sell personal information.
  3. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION We may share information as follows: 3.1 With Other Users. When you create a listing or send messages through the Platform, certain information may be visible to other users, including: (a) your name (or display name); (b) trailer listing details; (c) photos, videos, and descriptions you upload. 3.2 Service Providers. We may share information with third‑party vendors who assist with: (a) payment processing; (b) hosting and infrastructure; (c) analytics and performance monitoring; (d) customer support tools. 3.3 Legal and Safety Purposes. We may disclose information: (a) to comply with legal obligations, subpoenas, or court orders; (b) to protect the rights, property, or safety of LAT, users, or the public; (c) to investigate fraud, misuse, or violations of our Terms. 3.4 Business Transfers. If LAT undergoes a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or restructuring, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We do not share personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
  4. USER RESPONSIBILITIES REGARDING PERSONAL INFORMATION Users acknowledge and agree that: (a) LAT does not verify the identity, background, or trustworthiness of users. (b) Users are solely responsible for: (i) verifying the identity and legitimacy of other users; (ii) safeguarding their own personal information; (iii) exercising caution when communicating with others. (c) LAT is not responsible for: (i) information voluntarily shared by users with other users; (ii) off‑Platform communications or transactions; (iii) misuse of information by other users.
  5. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES We may use cookies and similar technologies to: (a) enable Platform functionality; (b) remember user preferences; (c) analyze usage patterns; (d) improve performance. Users may disable cookies through browser settings, but some Platform features may not function properly.
  6. DATA RETENTION We retain personal information only as long as necessary to: (a) operate the Platform; (b) comply with legal obligations; (c) resolve disputes; (d) enforce our Terms. Listing data may be retained for a limited period after subscription expiration for potential reactivation.
  7. DATA SECURITY We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However: (a) no method of transmission or storage is completely secure; (b) LAT cannot guarantee absolute security; (c) users transmit information at their own risk.
  8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY The Platform is not intended for individuals under eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, however it is the responsibility of the User to ensure they comply with the terms and conditions of the LAT platform, and this Privacy Policy more broadly.
  9. USER RIGHTS Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including: (a) access to the information we hold about you; (b) correction of inaccurate information; (c) deletion of certain information; (d) opting out of marketing communications.   10. THIRD‑PARTY LINKS The Platform may contain links to third‑party websites or services. LAT is not responsible for: (a) the privacy practices of such third parties; (b) the content, accuracy, or security of third‑party sites. Users should review the privacy policies of any third‑party sites they visit.
  11. INTERNATIONAL USERS The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
  12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY LAT may update this Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the Platform with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
